I paint  from the landscape at the site and in the studio working from drawings made at the location. There is a strong preference for a dual process of drawing and painting in my work. Recurring themes in my work are London and the Thames where I find inspiration in city and urban environments and its architecture .

Drawings are worked in various materials including charcoal, pencil, pastel, pen . Paintings are mostly worked in oil.

My art training started at Rochdale School of Art from the late fifties followed by a Fine Art course at St Martins School of Art in Painting.

I have exhibited at the Hampton Hill Playhouse and as well as the Landmark Art Fair and at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery in Waterloo and the Webb Gallery, Battersea.I am also a member of the Fountain gallery.
